Products description
A British modern jazz classic that is hard to get for less than £1,000 as an original LP, reissued for the first time as an audiophile LP in stereo (the original 1964 LP was only in mono). The Jamaican-British saxophonist Joe Harriott has often been described as the "English Ornette Coleman". His musical development began with be-bop and culminated in dynamic free jazz. On "Movement" he combines swinging, tonal jazz with explosive free elements. The work, which has long been considered a cult album, was remastered from the original analog stereo tapes at Abbey Road Studios for this re-release. The new liner notes are by renowned British author and filmmaker Tony Higgins.
